Gatherer of Souls

Well, it took 3 days of umming and ahhing, changing my mind about things (she originally had wings!) and listening to Amaranth and While Your Lips Are Still Red by Nightwish non stop for hours but I finally got my contest entry for 's contest finished. I chose the dark fantasy category. Oh, how unlike me...

I wasn't sure where I was going with this one when I started, so I just did random things and hoped for the best. Towards the end though I started having ideas about what I could do with the arch in the background, and voila, I spent ages wrapping the lightning round it. I think it worked great, worth all the time it took! And I had just finished reading a Dragonlance novel where Takhisis had been stealing souls of the dead, and I thought that seemed a good theme.
